Art and Life-Sustaining Goods

Through artistic and arts-based approaches, this project helps shaping conditions for regenerative production of life-sustaining goods, helping entrepreneurs restore nature and support communities.

This project aims to help regenerative entrepreneurs produce essential goods in ways that are fair, regenerative, and transparent. It explores business models that restore nature and strengthen communities rather than depleting resources or postponing negative impact. This requires, above anything else, the ability to envision regenerative futures, acknowledge the absurdity of our current destructive status quo, and recognize that bending the curve requires different ways of relating. In there lies a tremendous opportunity for artists and entrepreneurs to learn from each others’ knowledge, skills, and capacities.

Working with entrepreneurs, artists, activists, and partners in the Netherlands and Curaçao, the project aims to develop and test practical frameworks, teaching formats, and a toolbox. These intend to break down bottlenecks (e.g., lack of access to finance for regeneration) that prevent regenerative enterprises and their ecosystems from thriving. Our goal is to support entrepreneurs in building flourishing businesses that stay true to their regenerative purpose, breaking the trend of promising important new initiatives experiencing an early death.
