Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a hub of climate-justice research and home to many organizations involved in JUST ART, including Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), Framer Framed, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (Amsterdam location), Rijksakademie Amsterdam, the Rijksmuseum, the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Voedselpark Amsterdam, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), and Zone2Source. Amsterdam is also especially vulnerable to climate change: one geologist even suggests that the city’s sea defenses will fail in the next one to two centuries (Zalasiewicz 2008, 84).
