Curating
“Objects and collections are . . . the pathways through which stories can flow. In the twenty-first-century museum, curation is not simply about working with repositories of inert curiosities, accumulations of the flotsam and jetsam of history and culture, but rather enabling the objects to live again” (Newell, Robin, and Wehner 2017, 2–3).
“The use of curator dropped after the 1990s, especially when capitalized as a professional role. Meanwhile, curated as a verb has boomed” (Grindon 2023, 29).
